I am interested in highlighting relics of industry, often disappeared into the backdrop of modernization, as a way of pulling from the past to better understand our present and imagine our future. These brilliant lines of color acknowledge and begin to investigate the embedded histories of the subject through techniques of mimicry and illumination. The relationship of this luminesce to the patina and intervention present reminds of the importance in probing our own internal ruminations as they relate to our external posturing.
