American Industry foregrounded by natural growth arising from the frame of the portal. This juxtaposition challenges us to reflect on urban decay and the stratification of margin to center. This decay and proximate churn building anew, speaks to the inequities of urban life that undergird the ensuing violence. It is that liminal space that I am interested in working within, expanding the threshold from one that is traversed as a means of getting to the other side to a space to disrupt our mechanized world.
